A tale of two cuisines: Globally renowned chef Massimiliano Alajmo brings the culinary delights of Italy to beguiling Marrakech with his restaurant, Sesamo. Both local ingredients and imported Italian delicacies are spun into gold by chef Riccardo Barni.

Where should I sit? Found in the chic Royal Mansour Marrakech hotel, guests can opt to enjoy the luxurious dining room, or enjoy the elegant patio, where diners can take in the sunset.

On the menu: Chefs Alajmo and Barni bring Venetian influences to the table, serving classics such as Cappucino Majorelle with squid ink and potato purée; potato gnocchi with smoked butter and caviar; and trout with sautéed chard and caviar.

And for dessert? End the meal with the bright and refreshing pomegranate sorbet with rose and cinnamon apple, the tiramisu cloud, or the pistachio ice cream parfait.
