Sounds familiar: Acclaimed British chef Jason Atherton has made a triumphant return to Dubai's culinary scene with a tasting menu concept inspired by decades of professional culinary experiences, as well as his personal travels.

Immersive environment: The dining experience, accommodating only 22 people at a time, is divided into three acts and enjoyed across three different spaces in the restaurant. Act I: The Finest Welcome sees guests invited to enjoy snacks and an aperitif; Act II: The Pinnacle is the main event in full view of the open kitchen; and Act III: The Grand Finale allows diners to wind down with an aperitif in the chef's library. If you can, book the intimate four-seater chef's table.

An ode to Japan: Atherton's love for Japanese ingredients and culture is evident through notable inclusions on the 17-course tasting menu, such as ankimo, Akkeshi oysters and soba. A vegetarian tasting menu is also available.

Meet the team: The Row on 45 kitchen is overseen by executive chef Daniel Birk, who joined Atherton's The Social Company in 2013.

What's in a name? Row on 45 is a combination of the acronym for Refinement of Work and a nod to its location on the 45th floor of Grosvenor House Hotel in the heart of Dubai's marina area. Last year, Row on 24 jumped an impressive 24 places up the ranking, earning it the Highest Climber Award 2025.
